Summertime, fresh fruits and veggies, yay all that is great. But you know what else is great? Frozen fruits for making smoothies. If you want that slushy thickish quality to the smoothie, you need something cold to blend in. Ice works, but waters down the flavor. So basically what I'm saying is, keep frozen fruits in your freezer year round to make the perfect smoothie whenever you wish.
- 2 cups frozen fruit - I used mixed berries
- 2 cups 2% milk (any less than 2% and you might as well use water...yup)
- 3 tsp sugar
Add everything to a blender and puree. Serve cool.
