I love sweet, fruity drinks any time of the year. I was rearranging my cabinets and found a number of things I had totally forgotten about, including one can of diced pineapple. Pineapple is one of my favorite fruits. It's sweet, refreshing, and makes my tongue feel like it has tiny cuts on it if I eat too much of it. I don't love that last part, but I'm willing to bear it for everything that comes before. I made this smoothie a few nights ago as a replacement for dessert.
- 1 can pineapple chunks
- 4-6 ripe strawberries
- 1.5 cups soy milk
Puree pineapple and soy milk in a blender. Add sliced strawberries drink either straight from the glass or with a spoon. The drink was sweet enough as-is, but you can add sugar or honey to make it even sweeter.
